Past outages

2020-09-22 19:00 Issue has been resolved, all services should be operating normally!

2020-09-22 15:50 Internet failure on whole campus, as well as all connections from the outside (VPN, WT10,…) where down. Intermediately solved – but much slower then usual. Provider is still repairing the main cause.
2020-04-10 – 11:25am WT10 was down because of a software issue, and should now work again!
2019-11-15 … Around 18:00 a power outage on campus started and because of some additional unexpected issues, most of the IT infrastructure was down.
Since 22:00 many services have been restored already, but some services might still be unavailable until Monday.

2018-05-27 09:00 … All services are up and have been checked.
2018-05-26 12:00 … An accident today in the morning caused a major outage of parts of the IT infrastructure, but most of the services have been recovered already. Nevertheless, IT is still checking/restoring single servers/services, which might be unavailable for a short period of time. Please excuse any inconvenience.

Thu, April 23, 2020 6:00 pm 7:00 pm	Shared drives migration (grants, HR_AA, accounting, controlling) Some network drives (M:, W:, X:, Y:) will be migrated to a new server. The shared drives will stay in read-only mode until the migration is complete. If you find any issue by tomorrow morning, please contact IT Support.

Other systems (archive3, ISTCloud, cluster storage and scratch systems) are not affected, but because of the missing home-drive, login to Remote-Desktop and login.ist.ac.at won't be possible.
