How to forget the ISTWLAN wifi network

If you’re having trouble with authenticating the istwlan wifi network one possible solution is to forget the network and then rejoin it again. You can find instructions per operating system below.

Windows 10

  1. Click the Network icon in your tray (normally the lower right by the clock)
  2. Choose Network & Internet settings.
  3. Click on Wi-Fi then Manage known networks.
  4. Under Manage known networks, select istwlan.
  5. Click Forget.
  6. Rejoin with your istwlan credentials and accept to trust the new certificate if required.
  7. If you forgot your istwlan password you can retrieve this from your ICP self-service.

Mac OS (iMac, Macbook):

  1. Click the Apple Icon in the top left, and select System Preferences
  2. Select Network.
  3. In the lower-right corner, choose Advanced.
  4. Under Preferred Networks select “istwlan”.
  5. Click the minus (-) button to forget the network.
  6. Click OK, exit Network settings and confirm any changes.
  7. Rejoin with your istwlan credentials and accept to trust the new certificate if required.
  8. If you forgot your istwlan password you can retrieve this from your ICP self-service.

Ubuntu

  1. Click on the wireless icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Click on the tool icon to open settings. 
  3. You should now have Wi-Fi settings open. Click on the gear icon next to “istwlan”
  4. A pop up window will appear. From the Details tab click on the red “Forget Connection” button.
  5. Rejoin with your istwlan credentials and accept to trust the new certificate if required.
  6. If you forgot your istwlan password you can retrieve this from your ICP self-service.

iOS (iPhone, iPad)

  1. Open Settings from your home screen or Spotlight search.
  2. From Settings menu, choose Wi-Fi.
  3. Locate “istwlan” and click the blue symbol next to the name.
  4. If the option to forget the network is available it will appear at the top of the new window, tap Forget this Network
  5. Rejoin with your istwlan credentials and accept to trust the new certificate if required.
  6. If you forgot your istwlan password you can retrieve this from your ICP self-service.

Android

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.
  2. In the settings menu, select Wi-Fi.
  3. Locate istwlan and select (some models it’s tap or press and hold)
  4. Choose Forget.
  5. Rejoin with your istwlan credentials. Some Android models won’t prompt you to trust the new certificate if required.
  6. If you forgot your istwlan password you can retrieve this from your ICP self-service.
